Sanyo LCD TV LCD-30CA1Z – how to enter the service mode, white balance adjustment

This set has an On-screen Service Menu system included in the CPU that allows remote operation for most of the service adjustments.
On-screen Service Menu System
Enter the Service Menu (Note:It is necessary to perform a change in service mode for a short time.)
1. Continue pressing the MENU key on the TV set
2. Press the RECALL key of the remote control, then release the MENU key on the TV, and the RECALL key of the remote control immediately. Perform this operation within 2
seconds.
3. Press the MUTE key within 2 seconds, and the Service Menu now appear.
Service Adjustments:
Press ▲ or ▼ button on the remote control hand set to select the desired service menu item you want to adjust.
When the MUTE key is pressed, it will step up the whole service group (For example,Sub Image to Sub Sharpness).
When the MENU key is pressed, it will step down the whole service group.
Use or key to adjust the data. or key will increase or decrease the data sequentially.
White balance Adjustment
[ Setting ]
1. Receive a White Pattern (80%).
2. Set the television to following conditions:
Screen Size: FULL
Picture Menu: DYNAMIC
Dynamic AI: OFF
White balance Adjustment-1
(Basic adjustment of composite video)
Input Signal: RF Input (Composite signal)
1. Enter the Service Menu.
Adjustment Item:
No. 148 Color Balance-Red
No. 149 Color Balance-Green
No. 150 Color Balance-Blue
2. Decide the fixed item which is maximum value (Example, let 0x80 of No. 148 Color Balance-Red be maximum value), select item of other 2 colors
(Example, No. 149 Color Balance-Green or No. 150
Color Balance-Blue) with ▲ or ▼ key, and adjust a proper white balance with or key.
After adjustment, confirm white balance again by normal picture.
Note: Adjusted data is less than the fixed data.

Input Signal: AV Input (Component signal)
1. Enter the Service Menu.
Adjustment Item:
No. 160 Color Balance-Red
No. 161 Color Balance-Green
No. 162 Color Balance-Blue
2. Select item of No. 160 Color Balance-Red, No. 161
Color Balance-Green or No. 162 Color Balance-Blue
with ▲ or ▼ key, and adjust a proper white balance with or key.
After adjustment, confirm white balance again by normal picture.

(Difference adjustment of component video input)
1. Enter the Service Menu.
Adjustment Item:
No. 166 Color Balance-Red
No. 167 Color Balance-Green
No. 168 Color Balance-Blue
2. Select item of No. 166 Color Balance-Red, No. 167
Color Balance-Green or No. 168 Color Balance-Blue
with ▲ or ▼ key, and adjust a proper white balance with or key.
After adjustment, confirm white balance again by normal picture.

Input Signal: PC Input
1. Enter the Service Menu.
Adjustment Item:
No. 154 Color Balance-Red
No. 155 Color Balance-Green
No. 156 Color Balance-Blue
2. Select item of No. 154 Color Balance-Red, No. 155
Color Balance-Green or No. 156 Color Balance-Blue with ▲ or ▼ key, and adjust a proper white balance with or key.
After adjustment, confirm white balance again by normal picture.
How to enter the Option Setting Mode
1. Turn the TV set on.
2. Press and hold the MENU key of the TV set, and press the MENU key of the remote control.
3. To exit from the Option Setting Mode, press the MENU or RECALL key or turn the TV off.
How to make the Option Setting
Press ▲ or ▼ button on the remote control or the TV set to select the desired option item.
Press or key on the remote control or the TV set to change each option setting.
The data which is set in the Option Setting Mode is stored into the memory automatically.
The following Option Setting can be set up on this TV set.
Input select lock (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: The input (TV, PC, AV1, AV2, AV3 or AV4) of a signal is fixed to the input at the time of a setup.
No: Release.
2. Max. volume (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: Restriction of the maximum volume. (The volume at the time of a setup is set up as the maximum volume. )
No: Release.
3. OSD (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: On-screen display is performed. (With a screen display. )
No: On-screen display is not performed.
4. Menu (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: On-screen menu display is performed. (On-screen menu operation is possible. )
No: On-screen display is not performed. (On-screen menu operation is impossible. )
Option Setting (Dealer Mode)
5. System setup (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: System setup operation is possible.
No: System setup operation is impossible.
6. RC (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: Operation by remote control is possible.
No: Operation by remote control is impossible.
7. Volume lock (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: The sound volume is fixed.
No: Release.
8. Tuning lock (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: Tuning operation is forbidden.
No: Release.
9. Inhibit lock (Mode: Yes or No)
Yes: Setting of Inhibit Position becomes effective.
No: Setting of Inhibit Position does not function.
10. Start mode select (Mode: TV, Off, PC, AV1, AV2, AV3, AV4)
The start mode at the time of power on can be specified.
TV: Every time the TV set is switched on, TV mode will be the initial start mode.
Off: The start mode is not specified.
PC: PC mode will be the initial start mode.
AV1: AV1 mode will be the initial start mode.
AV2: AV2 mode will be the initial start mode.
AV3: AV3 mode will be the initial start mode.
AV4: AV4 mode will be the initial start mode
