How to remove Computer feet
The computer feet are adhesive-backed rubber pads. The feet are included in the Rubber Feet Kit, spare part number 516326-001. There are 4 rubber feet that attach to the base enclosure in the locations illustrated below.

How to remove Battery
Before disassembling the computer, follow
these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery:
1. Turn the computer upside down on a flat surface.
2. Slide the battery release latch (1) to release the battery.
3. Pivot the battery (2) upward and remove it from the computer.

2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

2. Remove the Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screw (1) that secures the optical drive to the computer.
3. Remove the optical drive (2).

(3) Four Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screws that secure the switch cover to the computer
1. Remove the following screws:
(1) Three Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screws that secure the keyboard to the computer
(2) Three Phillips PM2.5×7.0 screws that secure the switch cover to the computer
(3) Four Phillips PM2.5×3.0 screws that secure the switch cover to the computer
2. Turn
the computer display-side up, with the front toward you.
3. Open the computer as far as possible.
4. Lift the rear edge of the switch cover until it detaches from the computer.

5. Lift the switch
cover (1) to access the keyboard screws.
6. Remove the four Phillips PM2.0×4.0
screws (2) that secure the keyboard to the computer.
7. Lift the keyboard (3) until the keyboard connector on the system board is accessible.
7. Lift the keyboard (3) until the keyboard connector on the system board is accessible.
8. Release the zero insertion force
(ZIF) connector (1) to which the keyboard cable is connected
and disconnect the cable (2) from the system board.
9. Remove the keyboard.
10. Disconnect the power button board
cable (1) from the low insertion force (LIF) connector on
the system board.
11. Disconnect the LED board
cable (2) from the LIF connector on the system board.
12. Remove the switch cover.
